Butthole Surfers: What Does Regret Mean? is a raw, kaleidoscopic deep-dive into one of underground rock’s most chaotic and confrontational bands. The challenge was crafting a visual and narrative structure that mirrored the Surfers’ surreal, abrasive sonic landscape. I used a fractured, collage-like layout to echo their genre-defying ethos and Dadaist humor. The 304-page coffee table book feels less like a traditional visual history and more like a living artifact of their wild trajectory.
